Refund & Cancellation Policy

This is a plain-English summary of your cancellation and refund rights for TrakOps. It works alongside our Terms of Service; if anything conflicts, the law of your country and the Terms prevail in that order.

Your commitment

All plans have a 12-month initial term, shown clearly at checkout before you pay. You can pay monthly or annually — monthly billing spreads the 12-month commitment across the year; it does not make the contract month-to-month during the initial term.

Renewal

Your subscription renews for a further 12 months at the end of each term unless you cancel first. We email you a reminder at least 30 days before every renewal, and you can cancel any time up to the renewal date, effective at the end of your current term. If the consumer law where you live restricts fixed-term renewals, your plan instead continues month-to-month after the initial term.

Cooling-off / withdrawal rights

EU & UK consumers: you can withdraw within 14 days of subscribing for a full refund. If you asked us to start providing the service immediately, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the period supplied, as the law allows.

Cancelling during a term

If you cancel during your 12-month term for convenience (not because of a fault on our side), an early termination amount of 40% of the fees remaining in your term applies, as set out in clause 7.3 of the Terms of Service. This reflects a genuine estimate of our costs, not the full remaining balance.

When you can cancel without penalty

You may cancel with a refund of prepaid unused fees, regardless of the term, if:

  • we materially breach the Terms and don't fix it within 30 days of your notice;
  • we materially reduce core functionality of your plan during a paid period;
  • we increase your price or make a materially adverse change to the Terms and you cancel before it takes effect; or
  • you are entitled to do so under consumer law (below).

Statutory rights (these always win)

  • Australia: our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to have problems that are not major failures fixed in a reasonable time.
  • EU/UK, US states, and elsewhere: nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country or state.

How to cancel or request a refund

Cancel any time in Account → Billing → Cancel subscription, or email contact@trakops.com.au. Refunds are returned to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval.
